This live/work loft project is comprised of six townhouse units. Three units at the front of the building face the main street and open into a central courtyard above the parking and three units at the back of the site also face into the courtyard and have ground level courts. Each of the six units has four levels, three of which are open to each other through double high spaces. The double high spaces are offset, permitting long diagonal views up through the unit and to the outside through clerestory windows. Ground level spaces are planned to allow subdivision by tenants to create separated work spaces. All units enter from the street or the courtyard as well as directly from the garage, so very little common space is required. The street frontage of the building blends with the industrial character of the neighborhood, while the courtyard is characterized by the stepped terraces of the units.
