Part of a twelve-block redevelopment area in downtown San Francisco, 280 Beale Street is the affordable housing component of a 479-unit complex that includes a 30 story tower, underground parking, townhouse units and a new dedicated pedestrian street. We collaborated on the plan for the overall block and completed the design for the building. The efficient plan makes optimal use of the site with a mix of one and two bedroom units. A solar hot water heating system and a vegetated roof are among the sustainable design features of the building that contribute to its silver certification under the Green Point Rated system.
