This swimming pool and related facilities are designed for instructional, recreational, and competitive swimming. Provision has been made for use of the facility by the local community, and for universal access. The structure of the natatorium is expressed through an exposed steel framing system that sets a spacial rhythm and filters light coming into the space both from the walls and from skylights above. The pool area extends into an exterior garden on the only open edge of the site.Housing a six lane, 25 yard pool, the project included an adjacent enclosed garden and renovated locker facilities.
