The design process for this branch of the San Francisco Public Library involved extensive community interaction, including a peer review before the Library Commission. We have also worked extensively with library staff to develop a facility that is flexible enough to evolve with changing library services.
Among the unique features of the project is a low-profile access floor system that allows easy reconfiguration of the power and data outlets within the space. A multi-function service desk has been designed as a freestanding element in the entry area to increase opportunities for public interaction with library staff.
